Mission Statement

Brothers On a New Direction (B.O.N.D.) is a Brotherhood that recognizes the need for unity among young men of color. The men of B.O.N.D. pledge to help guide adolescent men of color towards personal growth, provide the tools for academic success, and lead by example. B.O.N.D. will utilize the skills of mentorship to empower young men of color with the knowledge that they hold the key to their futures, and in turn can become successful.

Vision Statement

The vision for the future of the greater Providence area is a community where every young male has a positive male role model in their life. We would like to create a community where young males make positive choices towards a promising future. B.O.N.D. wants to help increase the numbers of young men of color entering college, and create a support system throughout the time they are in the collegiate level to ensure success.

P.I.N.K. Women

Our mission is to educate URI and the surrounding community on issues that pertain to multicultural and ethnic female groups. As an organization, we will focus on positive female minority advancements, progressing multicultural family life, and to hold diverse events to mirror our purpose.

• Breast Cancer Walk
• Book Drive
• “In the Spotlight”, which is when we have an independent, strong, successful woman come speak to college students about their trials, tribulations, and how they overcome hardship in their lives.
